L-Arginine

L-Arginine is a semi-essential amino acid (a building block of protein) involved in vasodilation (relaxation of the inner muscles of blood vessels causing them to widen and increase circulation), cell division, wound healing, immunity, and hormone release. L-arginine is important for the production of nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is produced in nearly every cell in the body. It functions to widen blood vessels and also stimulates the release of hormones such as insulin and human growth hormone.
